Thomas Jackson Higdon, 63, a longtime resident of Chattanooga, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at his home.
A native of Marion County, Tenn., he was a son of the late James and Martha Terry Higdon. A Protestant, he was associated with UTC for eight years in the ground maintenance department before his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
His survivors are wife, Patricia Roberson Higdon, Red Bank; daughter, Denis Lillard, Chattanooga; sons, Tommy Higdon, Hixson, Brian Higdon, Red Bank; grandchildren, Jackson Lillard, Justin Higdon, LaCynda McFalls; brothers, John Higdon, Red Bank, Richard Higdon, Bobby Higdon, Signal Mountain, Bill Higdon, Sanford, N.C.
Memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Terry Steil and Rev. Doug Downey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
