Costs are going higher than expected for a consultant dealing with the planned Enterprise South Industrial Park, officials said.
A committee of the City Council on Tuesday approved raising the pay limit from $20,000 to $30,000 for Greer Tidwell, an engineering consultant.
Rob Taylor, who is heading up the project, said Mr. Tidwell is working with various federal regulatory agencies.
He said the amount of work is more than first expected.
The city and county are sharing costs of developing the site at Tyner that was formerly known as the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant.
