Registration Underway For Women's Basketball League

Friday, December 13, 2002

Registration continues for the Winter Women's Basketball League.

The 8-week program will begin on Monday, Jan. 13, at 6:00 p.m.

Players must be at least 19 years of age. No high school or college players.

Cost is $250 per team. The Women's Basketball League is sponsored by
Chattanooga Parks, Recreation, Arts & Culture Department.

All games will be held on Monday nights at the Brainerd Recreation Center located at 1010 North Moore Road.

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
