A lawsuit brought by the local office of the Merrill Lynch investment firm against one of its former agents has gone to arbitration, court officials said.
Officials said the case is expected to be settled outside of court.
Merrill Lynch earlier got a restraining order signed by Chancellor Frank Brown ordering that Michael Crowder not use confidential company information.
Mr. Crowder recently quit Merrill Lynch and joined rival USB-Paine Webber.
The suit asked that he not be allowed to solicit former Merrill Lynch customers.
