Jerry Lynn Schrimpsher Sr., 56, died on Sunday, March 24, 2002, in a local hospital.

Mr. Schrimpsher was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, H.B. Schrimpsher Sr.; and brother, Doyal Ray Schrimpsher.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Schrimpsher of Harrison; and wife of 38 years, Patsy Hall Schrimpsher of Chattanooga; two sons, Jerry Schrimpsher Jr. of Dunlap, Tenn., Terry Schrimpsher of Harrison; daughter, Sherry Lewis of Soddy-Daisy; two brothers, H.B. Schrimpsher Jr. and Terry Schrimpsher of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Jerry Schrimpsher III, Michael Schrimpsher, Gregory Huff Jr., Brandon Lee Huff, all of Chattanooga.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Ernest Sutton officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes Inc.
