Lorene Boyd Foster (Liz) Plemons, of Chattanooga, died Thursday, June 27, 2002.

A native of Monroe County, Tn., Mrs. Plemons had lived in Chattanooga since 1959. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was retired from the Red Food Store after 23 years of service.

She was the daughter of the late Jim and Hattie Boyd and was preceded in death by three brothers, Olen, Dewey and Junior Boyd, and two sisters, Elnora Young and Francine Richesin. She was the widow of Arthur Lewis Foster Jr. and Albert S. Plemons Jr.

She is survived by three daughters, June Foster Campbell of Rossville, Jane Foster McDaniel of Harrison and Judy Foster Swafford of Chattanooga; two step-daughters, Wanda Plemons Cornelius of Albertville, Ala., and Susan Plemons Custalow of Chattanooga; sister, Vonetia Boyd Ritchie of Merrit Island, Fla; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Randy Bell officiating. Private graveside services will be Sunday at Foster Cemetery in Sweetwater, Tn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
