UTC basketball guard Jason Rogan averaged 22.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in two Mocs victories last week and was named the Southern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the SoCon office announced.

Rogan, a junior from Portland, Tenn., led the Mocs to SoCon wins over East
Tennessee State and Georgia Southern. He scored 23 points against against ETSU, two points shy of his career best. He followed that effort with 22 points in Monday's win over GSU.

It was his team-high seventh 20-point game of the season, and he tied his
career best with four three-pointers in each game.

In the crucial win over South Division foe GSU, Rogan scored nine points in a 16-6 UTC run that gave the Mocs a 17-point lead over the Eagles with 11:58 to play.

Rogan has scored in double digits in four of the last five games and in 13
games overall this season. He averages a team-high 14.8 points per game in SoCon games and is second in overall games at 13.0.

The Mocs travel to The Citadel Saturday in Charleston, S.C., and tipoff is at 1 p.m.
