Pigeon Forge will kick off a new season of entertainment on April 4 when Dolly Parton will lead the annual Dolly Parade down the Parkway.
The parade is set to begin at 6 p.m., and the theme of this year¹s event is
Springfest in the Smokies. In addition to its famous grand marshal, the parade will be filled with marching bands, colorful floats courtesy of local and area businesses, and celebrities from local and area theaters will
follow.
More than 40,000 visitors are expected to line the city¹s main
thoroughfare to view this year¹s parade.
"The Dolly Parade is one of the key components to our new Springfest
celebration," said Kay Powell, assistant director of Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism. "Visitors who come for the parade really get a taste of the entertainment that can be found year-round in Pigeon Forge."
