Wholesale Supply Group Opens Chattanooga Unit

Saturday, May 24, 2003

Wholesale Supply Group, Inc., a distributor of plumbing and
electrical supplies that began in Cleveland, Tn., 50 years ago, has
opened in Chattanooga at 2411 East 23rd St.

A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the opening of the new business.

Wholesale Supply Group, Inc. was founded in 1942 and was originally known as Building Supply. In 1959, current president of Wholesale Supply Group, Inc. Lloyd Rogers joined the group. Mr. Rogers added plumbing and electrical supplies to the inventory. The goal was to enable customers to purchase all building supplies in one location.

The company's name was then changed to Cleveland Electrical Supply. In
the early 1970's the building supply division was closed, and the plumbing
and electrical businesses were incorporated under the current name,
Wholesale Supply Group, Inc.

Although Wholesale Supply Group, Inc. sells to the general public, its target customers are home builders, industries, government agencies, school systems, plants, local contractors, electricians and
plumbers.

An expansive inventory and great customer service are areas in which
Wholesale Supply Group, Inc. take great pride, officials said.

"Customer service and satisfaction is a hallmark of Wholesale Supply Group," said Mr. Rogers.

"This business has grown because we are dedicated to service,
competitive prices, and meeting needs."

Wholesale Supply Group, Inc. has branches in Tennessee, Alabama,
Georgia and North Carolina. The original location in Cleveland now
operates as a central distribution center.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (3)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ... Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance. Never in my life have I ever had any back problems but, in early December, I came down with what is called sciatica and I have been a miserable man ever since. There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
