Chattanooga Police and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force are investigating the robbery of the First Tennessee Bank at 2221 Hamilton Place Blvd. Wednesday afternoon.
A white male entered the bank around 4 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. He said he had a gun.
Police said the teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled on foot out the front entrance of the bank.
The man is described as a white male, 5'6" to 5'7", wearing a white ball cap, and an unbuttoned brown and green striped shirt with a white t-shirt underneath.
No one saw him after he ran out, so there is no vehicle description.
