This week’s Crime Stoppers feature is a fugitive wanted on a variety of serious charges. Edgar Bailey (Jr.) also known as E-LOC is wanted on three separate capias (warrants) for Murder, Felony Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, three counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Arson.
On Aug. 13 indictments for Edgar Bailey, Jeremy Little (age 27) and Mohammad Nurridin (age 25) were handed down for the June 20, 2001 murder of Anthony McAfee.
Mr. MaAfee, a 23-year-old Stone Mountain, Ga. resident, was found murdered at 1806 A Newell Street.
Mr. Little and Mr. Nurridin were both in custody, and still are, on other charges so there was no problem charging them.
A tip early in the hunt for Mr. Bailey led investigators to Decatur, Ga. where he was arrested. Mr. Bailey was brought back to Chattanooga where he posted a $227,000 bond.
Mr. Bailey never showed for his court date. A court order has been issued for Mr. Bailey to be held without bond once he is arrested.
Mr. Bailey is to be considered armed and dangerous and no attempt should be made to arrest him by anyone other than law enforcement personnel.
Edgar Bailey is a black male born May 31, 1972. He is 6’ tall, weighs 250 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. He listed his last address as Bencal Drive in Decatur, Ga.
A confidential tip to the Crime Stoppers hotline could provide information leading to Bailey’s arrest and result in up to $1,000 in cash rewards. Call 698-3333.
