Sunday Is Native American Heritage Day At Chattanooga Market

Sunday is Native American Heritage Day at Chattanooga Market.

Cultural exhibits will include music, dance, art, storytelling and more. Featured will be Jamie Soback, Peter Redbird, Emman Spain, Travis Jackson, Jr., Jon Yahola, Gary Montgomery, Bunny McCosar, Jamie Russell, Mike Serna, Shirley Lawrence, Charlie Faircloth, Becky Gregory, Vicky Karhu and more.

There will be a special exhibit this year by Chattanooga kids, including the Barger Academy of Fine Arts, Battle Academy, CSLA, Normal Park, and Lookout Mountain Elementary.

Performing on the EPB stage from 12:30-4:30 p.m. will be Jamie Russell and Mike Serna with music, Peter Rebird with dance, Travis Jackson, Jr. with story-telling, Charlie Faircloth with music, and Jamie Soback with dance.

The Comcast art lab for kids will feature Tim and Rachel Ragen with fall harvest art projects from 12:30-4 p.m.

The Chattanooga Market is Sunday, Nov. 4, 12-5 p.m. at the First Tennessee Pavilion.


Fifty Nifty Tour Comes To Chattanooga Thursday

Minneapolis-based husband and wife photography duo, Jonny and Michelle Hoffner,  have begun a year-long adventure taking them to all 50 states in 50 weeks, the Fifty Nifty Tour.   The plan is to drive across the United States, photographing one wedding per state, per w eek, while donating $1,000 per wedding to the anti-human trafficking organization,  She Dances. ... Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence

Sentencing for former Hamilton County paramedic Michael Lamar Johnston, who pleaded guilty in November to fondling a woman as his ambulance took her to a hospital, has been delayed until April 2.   He was scheduled to learn today whether he would be placed on probation or given diversion but, at the request of both prosecution and defense attorneys, the hearing was passed. ...
