Nine players from the Chattanooga area have been selected to play in the East-West Shrine All-Star football game at Middle Tennessee State University.
The game featuring the best high school players from around the state will be played June 26 at 7 p.m. at Floyd Stadium on the MTSU campus.
The nine players representing the Chattanooga-area will be Sequatchie County's Jordan Cain, Hixson's Wilford Blowe (UTC), Grundy County's Justin Bryant, Sequatchie County's John Mackersie (Maryville College), South Pittsburg's Ron Cook, East Ridge's Anthony Anderson (Carson-Newman), Cleveland's Samuel Bowerman, Tyner's Thomas Battle (Carson-Newman) and Whitwell's Paul Tidwell (UTC).
The head coach for the East all-stars is Marion County's Tim Taylor. The assistant head coach is Pat Dyer from Macon County High School.
Coaching the West all-stars will be Kevin Locastro from Memphis Christian Brothers High School.
A concert by Ricochet will run from 5-6 p.m. preceding the game.
