Holt, Robin

Signal Resident Was Active At St. Paul’s Episcopal

Robin Holt, 91, of Signal Mountain died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in a local hospital.

She was born in Louisville, Ky., and had lived in Chattanooga area for 47 years. She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University where she was a member of Alpha Omega Pi Sorority and homecoming queen of 1936. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, founding member of the Signal Mountain Library, and an active volunteer for many local charitable organizations. She was a loving mother, friend and confidant. She was a true disciple of Christ.

Her husband, Dr. Benton B. Holt, Jr., preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons and daughters–in–law, Benton B. III and Ann Holt, Jim and Stuart Holt, David and Patsy Holt, all of Signal Mountain and John R. and Bobbie Holt, Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren, Benton B. Holt, IV, Robert Allen Holt, Garrett Woodburn Holt and Anna Robin Holt and two nieces; Martha Greene, Flintstone, Georgia and Nancy Jean Hardy, Nashville.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Memorial Garden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. H. Hunter Huckabay, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the Ava Wright Room of the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, is in charge of services.

Jessie F. Henry Coffelt, 89, of Sequatchie, Tn., died Friday, February 10, 2012. He was a retired coal miner, having worked there for 22 years. Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
