Fire damaged a house for the second time in Lupton City early Thursday morning.
The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 3:39 a.m. and responded to 26 Whitney St. with several fire companies.
The fire started in a bedroom and Chattanooga firefighters got the fire out fairly quickly. The house was unoccupied and no injuries were reported. The dollar loss was estimated at around $5,000.
Captain Craig Haney with the Fire Investigation Division said the cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation.
The house was reportedly being renovated from a previous fire, which occurred Jan. 25. The house was occupied then, but no injuries were reported.
Fire investigators believe an electrical malfunction started that fire, which caused an estimated $115,000 in damages.
