Discipline Needed To Stop School Bullies

Friday, March 11, 2005

We have seen it done for many many decades. And it has gotten worse in the last two decades. That's right... School Bullies. Those infamous Gangsters of schooltime fan fare.

In the 50's it was cool from what I understand. Fonzie would be considered a Bully in his time. But those cool days have been way over for at least two decades if not more.

What would be the reasons?

Structured families are fewer and fewer items now.

And I have noticed in my experience that after they took the Bible and God out of the school systems it increased. (This subject I am sure people will have something to say about but true.)

I think now it's time for the laws to change to where not only are the schools responsible, but the parents be held liable as well. This would initiate in my opinion an urgency to get their KIDS IN LINE.

And to heck with the Child Abuse nonsense. Nowadays if you take TV privileges, it is considered Child Abuse.

When I was growing up.. being punched ... beaten with a baseball bat would be considered abuse and having a whipping for doing bad at school would be discipline.

In my days when teachers could paddle students without having to worry if the ACLU was going to sue their rears off, it meant something to the kids. YOU DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING BAD OR YOU WILL GET A PADDLING FROM MRS. ROBERTS. And let me tell you . you got one from that lady. You minded her the rest of your life. PERIOD.

Everyone says we need to compete with the world education system. Well, yes we do. And at one time, before the 70's, we were the #1 country in education. We have became lax, lazy and mundane in nature. If natural selection were applied to education our poor systems would have been eaten years ago. In Japan for instance you misbehave in class... you get caned, which IS abuse. It doesn't just leave whelps.. it cuts into the flesh. But they are doing A LOT better than us, sad to say.

To simplify this opinion: School and Parental Discipline = Less School Bullies.

In his time as commissioner he has only added ... (click for more)

Play The Emission Game - And Response

I signed the petition but have a suggestion that may make a bigger impact.  Since it is a cash only business, pay with change and request they count it to keep you both honest. This gives a taste of your frustration and could imply that we as citizens want change also.  This could be very effective when they are busy. There are many ways to send a message but the ...
