Wednesday, March 02, 2005

This week’s Crime Stoppers features two armed robberies at local cash advance businesses.

The first one occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Advance America Cash Advance at 4707 Dayton Boulevard in Red Bank. Just before 5 p.m. a lone black male with a pistol entered through the front door and forced the manager to the floor and ordered him to crawl to and open the safe. He left through the back door once he had the cash.

The suspect was around 6’ tall and of thin build. He was wearing jeans, a white baseball cap, white shoes and a white bandana with multi-colored splotches on it.

The second incident occurred Tuesday, Feb. 22, around 3:30 p.m. at the Advance America Cash Advance at 3707 Ringgold Road in East Ridge. The incident and suspect description was very similar to the Red Bank robbery. The suspect entered through the front door and forced the clerk to the floor demanding entry into the cash register and the safe.

The suspect’s clothing was described as all black with gloves, a ball cap and a blue cloth over his nose and mouth.
A confidential tip to Crime Stoppers could be the information needed to identify this suspect and result in up to $1,000 in cash rewards being offered. Call 698-3333.
