Kids Day America/International is May 14

On Saturday, May 14, communities worldwide will participate in the 11th annual “Kids Day America/International,” a health, safety, and environmental awareness day. Total Health Chiropractic will sponsor this free event in Chattanooga at Memorial Auditorium from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Total Health Chiropractic will provide information on crime prevention, child safety, and environmental awareness. They will donate special ID cards to every child who attends, and the Chattanooga Police Department will provide free fingerprinting of all children. The Chattanooga Fire Department will bring their fire truck and will teach fire safety tips.

The new celebrity spokesperson is Jonathan Lipnicki, star of such films as Jerry McGuire and Stuart Little.

Total Health Chiropractic will provide free spinal exams and scoliosis screenings, and distribute information on disease prevention and specific health issues that affect children. They will also provide free balloons and snacks. There will be special giveaways and prize drawings every half-hour. Donations will be accepted to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Chattanooga.

Obedience Club Has Registration Feb. 26

The Obedience Club of Chattanooga, four miles south of Chattanooga on Highway 193 in Flintstone, will hold registration for obedience, rally, and new agility classes for puppies and dogs on Sunday, Feb. 26, from 1-3 p.m.  Agility I and II Fundamentals (indoors) will now be offered.  Participants should bring a copy of shot records to registration. Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence

Sentencing for former Hamilton County paramedic Michael Lamar Johnston, who pleaded guilty in November to fondling a woman as his ambulance took her to a hospital, has been delayed until April 2.   He was scheduled to learn today whether he would be placed on probation or given diversion but, at the request of both prosecution and defense attorneys, the hearing was passed. ...
