Hash, Donald Jack "Poppa"

Donald Jack "Poppa" Hash, of Chattanooga, died at his home Friday, April 22, 2005.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, he was of Cherokee descent, a veteran of the Korean War and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from Southern Centrifical.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Rollins Hash of North Carolina; twin brother, Ronald "Joe" Hash of Florida; and sister, Barbara Woody.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Willie "Billie" Hash; children, Clarence and Kate Johnson, New York, Gretchen and Rick Keefe, North Carolina, Stacey and Pete Massengale, Chattanooga, and Donald "Shawn" and Kathy Hash, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Josh Davis, Lackland AFB, Texas, Ricky and John Keefe, North Carolina, Samantha, Oshi and Shinji Massengale, Chattanooga, Sarah Johnson, New York, Jackson and Kayla Hash, Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Ana Lin and Ryli Matsue Richardson; father-in-law, George Freeman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brenda and Dan Stowe, Georgia and Rance and Joan Jordan, Hixson; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jessie F. Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
