A former teacher at Girls Preparatory School has been indicted on child pornography charges.
Edward Parks Gwaltney, of Lookout Mountain, was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on three counts of receiving child pornography.
It is charged on Oct. 12, 2004, he received child pornography depicting a 10-year-old shipped by computer from St. Louis, Mo.
He is charged with receiving two days later child pornography depicting an 11-year-old child by computer from Kansas City, Mo.
The third count is that on Oct. 14, 2004, he received child pornography depicting an 8-year-old child and 10-year-old child by computer from England.
Gwaltney taught at GPS for 17 years before getting dismissed for downloading inappropriate material to a faculty computer.
