Davidson, James Glynn

James Glynn Davidson, 83, of Hixson, died at his residence Monday, June 6, 2005.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Lee and Lelar Dawdson; daughter, Susanne; and greatgrandson, Taylor Gage.

He is survived by his wife, Mayble Davidson, of Hixson; son, Franklin, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Davidson, of Darien, IL; daughter, Sheila, and son-in-law, Terry Emery, of Hixson; brother, Herman Davidson, of Florida; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Freeney officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Truth Seekers Sunday School Class at Dallas Bay Baptist Church in his memory.

Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
