Bobby Lee Nicholson Sr., 67, of Chattanooga, died Saturday, June 25, 2005, in a local health care facility.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lon Nicholson; mother, Bertha Washington; wife, Maggie Nicholson; sons, Clarence and Anthony Nicholson; brothers, Roy and Hansey; and sisters, Sadie and Elizabeth.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara James and Cynthia (Homer) Davis, both of Chattanooga; sons, Freddrick (Maria) Nicholson, of Clarksville, TN, and Bobby Nicholson Jr., of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Mammie Weaver, of Los Angeles; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Leroy Fitch officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

The body will lie in state after noon Friday at the funeral home.

Female CARTA Driver Has Unknown Liquid Thrown In Her Face; 4 Fellow Employees Also Taken To Hospital; 15 Fire Companies Respond

A female CARTA bus driver had an "unknown liquid" thrown in her face at the rear of the CARTA headquarters by Sholar Avenue on Tuesday morning, fire officials said.
