19-Year-Old Burned At Soddy-Daisy Bonfire

A 19-year-old was seriously burned on Lovelady-Lewis Road in Soddy-Daisy on Friday night.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at a home when the young man tried to light a bonfire with gasoline.

Reports were that it exploded in his face, causing burns to his face, arm and lower body.

Hamilton County EMS transported him to the Erlanger Burn Unit.

There was no word on his condition.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department worked to put the fire out.
