A man who was given a suspended sentence after he was caught stealing beer from BellSouth Park four years ago was apprehended doing the same thing last week.
Ray Daniel Owsley, 30, was arrested in October 2002 when he and another person were spotted by police carrying buckets down Third Street.
When confronted by police, they jumped a wall. When captured at Georgia Avenue, Owsley had beer with him that had been poured from a keg. He also had a dozen Chattanooga Lookouts cups.
Owsley at that time admitted he had climbed over the stadium fence and gotten into the beer.
Officers on Oct. 10 of this year stopped Owsley with six cases of beer. The officer who made the stop was later alerted that there had been a burglary at BellSouth Park.
Owsley was brought in for questioning, and he admitted getting over the ballpark fence again.
He is facing charges of burglary and theft. Bond was set at $3,000.
