The Bob Corker for U.S. Senate campaign said back to back polls show the former Chattanooga mayor ahead.
After an independent Mason Dixon poll showing Corker in the lead was made public this morning, a new Rasmussen poll released this afternoon "also shows a spike in Corker support and that he has gained four points since an Oct. 2 Rasmussen survey," officials said.
“Friday’s Memphis Meltdown has shaken the Ford campaign to its very core,” said Todd Womack, communications director for the Corker for Senate campaign.
The Rasmussen Poll has Corker leading with 47% of the vote over Congressman Harold Ford’s 46%. When leaners are included, Corker leads with 49% of the vote and Ford trails with 47%.
In a Rasmussen poll on Oct. 2, Corker had 43% of the vote.
