Area Obituaries

Wilson, Debra A. (Sewanee)

Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Debra A. Wilson, 50, died on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006. She passed away at her residence surrounded by family and friends.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucy Catalano, and brother Tommy Catalano.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Wilson; daughters, Jennifer Wilson, of Sewanee, and Jessica (Josh) Hart, of Paris; son, Robert, of Sewanee; sister, Roberta Cassaro, of Everett, Ma.; brother, Robert Catalano, of Chelsea, Ma.; grandchildren, Amelia Rose and Lucy-Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

Debra was a realtor and was on a welcoming committee to many newcomers to the area. Many can say that Debra was the first face they met on the mountain and the only realtor to invite them in for oven-fresh brownies and a cup of coffee.

Her love of nature and the mountain could be told if her horses could talk. Debra loved the nostalgia of Sewanee; and said it’s where she belonged. We will all miss her presence; but know in our hearts that she will always be our Sewanee angel.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, at St. Andrews-Sewanee chapel with the Rev. Dexter Bender officiating. A small reception will follow, and all are welcome.
