Vincent K. Fields died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006.

He is survived by his three daughters, Martobia Wood, Vernita and Donitta Fields; parents, Charles and Vilma Fields, sister, D. Neese House; brother, Albert (Audrey) Fields, St. Louis Mo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at New United Church with Rev. W. McKinley Holloway officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the African-American Museum.

Arrangements are by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.

City "Moves Away" From $4 Million Light Show On Walnut Street Bridge

The city is no longer pursuing a plan for a $4,050,000 light show on the Walnut Street Bridge.
