Vincent K. Fields died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006.

He is survived by his three daughters, Martobia Wood, Vernita and Donitta Fields; parents, Charles and Vilma Fields, sister, D. Neese House; brother, Albert (Audrey) Fields, St. Louis Mo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at New United Church with Rev. W. McKinley Holloway officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the African-American Museum.

Arrangements are by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.

Ruby Jean Reed, 87, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.  She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Church Of God faith.  Mrs. Reed and her husband Rev. Judge Cuts Bond To $50,000 For Man Charged In Fatal Woodmore Bus Wreck

Criminal Court Judge Don Poole has reduced the bond for the school bus driver charged in the wreck that killed six Woodmore Elementary students. The state plans to retry the case in which a 17-year-old was charged with raping a 69-year-old jogger in North Chattanooga three years ago.
