Kilpatrick, Roosevelt "Buncy," Sr.

Roosevelt "Buncy" Kilpatrick, Sr., 80, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, in a local nursing home.

He was a retiree of the Electric Power Board. He was a founding member and deacon of Shepherd’s Voice Christian Fellowship Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Kilpatrick; parents, John Kilpatrick and Mamie Freeman.

He is survived by his son, Roosevelt (April) Kilpatrick, Jr.; grandsons, Devin, Brendan and Cameron, all of Rome, N.Y.; brothers and sisters, Helen (Joe) Hubbard, John (Peggy) Kilpatrick, Louise Smith, Ralph (Dorothy) Freeman and Daisy Freeman; sister-in-law, Cora Heathington; cousin, Marilyn Benning; family friend, Arthur Terry; several other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd’s Voice Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Cedric Henson officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Taylor Funeral Home.

Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

DA Pinkston Files Petition To Declare 2 Gangs A Public Nuisance

District Attorney General Neal Pinkston filed a petition on Monday asking that two Chattanooga gangs, the Gangster Disciples and the Grape Street Crips, and their members be declared public nuisances. Woman With Ankle Injuries Rescued On Walden's Ridge

Emergency Service personnel responded to an injured runner on the Mabbit Trails on Signal Mountain on Monday morning. At 10 a.m. , a 39-year-old female called 911 reporting she had injured her ankle.
