Second Lawsuit Filed Against Bizzocos On Fatal Wreck

A second Circuit Court lawsuit has been filed in connection with a wreck June 14 that claimed two lives and seriously injured several other people.

Joel R. King, who was among those seriously hurt, earlier sued Dennis Neil Bizzoco and his parents, Leslie and Dr. Dennis Bizzoco, for $250,000.

The latest suit is brought by Mr. King as executor of the estate of Jerry C. Martin, who was killed in the wreck. It asks $1.5 million in compensatory damages.

The suits say Neil Bizzoco was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero south on Mountain Creek Road. They say his vehicle went across the centerline and hit head-on a 2002 Lexus driven by Mr. Martin and with Mr. King as a passenger.

A passenger in the Bizzoco vehicle was killed.

The complaints say the Mitsubishi belonged to Leslie Bizzoco and the parents knew or should have known that Neil Bizzoco "had a propensity for danger."

Neil Bizzoco is facing several felony charges in Criminal Court.

The latest suit is filed by attorneys Phil Lawrence and Gary Gerbitz.

Woman Gets Minivan Stuck On Railroad Track; It Is Hit By Train; She Goes To Jail

Police said a woman got her minivan stuck on railroad tracks on Hickory Valley Road on Friday. A train wound up hitting the van, and the woman, Julie Louanne Abel, wound up being taken to jail.
