Israel Needs America And America Needs Israel

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

To say that the creation of the nation of Israel is the origin of violent catastrophes and war is outrageous. Were there not catastrophes and wars before 1948? A quick look at history would reveal a novel of such and a look into the Bible would enlighten some to the origin: disobedience from God.

As for Israel, they have a right to exist. During WWII many Jews who had fled Europe, were returned for their mechanical death by the Nazi's. How conceited to judge them for fighting and protecting themselves to fulfill the basic purpose of humanity, to live.

Today, in an area that is captivated by violence and terrorism, Israel is the only democratic nation in the Middles East. Israel is a key ally in the war on terror. Israelis train American first responders on contemporary techniques and provide our military with modern technology.

Two organizations that are recognized by the US and the EU as terrorist make their presence known to Israel. Hezbollah terrorist camps overshadow the northern Lebanon/Israel border and Hamas recently won elections in the Palestinian Authority. Even the French know that Iran is rapidly acquiring nuclear weapons to, as Iran's President said himself "wipe Israel off the map."

Israel can not fight these on her own and she should not have to. These are global problems that the world must quench.
