A house on Anderson Avenue caught fire Friday night, but no one was home.
Chattanooga firefighters were called to the scene of the fire at 1709 Anderson Ave. around 11 p.m.
Battalion Chief Ben Biggs said the front of the two-story house was engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived on the scene. The fire was put out quickly.
Damages were estimated at around $30,000. No one was reportedly home at the time and no injuries were reported.
The house was said to be in the process of being renovated.
There was no electrical service to the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
