Fillauer Inc. offers a new technology for breast cancer survivors that obtains a 3-D laser scan of the patient’s surgical site and the natural shape of the intact breast. Each form is hand-crafted for the woman’s unique body shape, making a lifelike breast that fits the woman’s chest wall like a puzzle piece.
Mastectomy Fitter Lisa Peercy will be in Chattanooga to perform scans on survivors using this new technology on Tuesday from 10 a.m.-noon at Fillauer Inc. located on 2710 Amnicola Hwy.
The forms – made by ContourMed – were developed at the Arkansas Cancer Research Center through input from breast cancer patients across the US.
