A Cannon Street man was taken into custody after his neighbor said he threatened to kill her.
The neighbor said the man approached her and started an argument, then pulled a dark-colored pistol and pointed it at her head.
She said he stated, "I'll kill you and everybody in this block."
The woman said she was "completely terrified" of the man and believed he would carry out the threat.
When police arrived, the man had gone into a residence and he did not answer the door. Police entered by force after getting approval of the landlord.
They found the man exiting the kitchen and took him into custody without incident. A loaded 9-mm. pistol was found in his vehicle.
The man was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
A woman said she was threatened with death by a man who had just gotten out of jail for assaulting her.
the woman said Patrick Suttles called her cell phone and threatened to kill her by cutting her into little pieces. She said he was arrested for aggravated burglary and aggravated assault at her residence on Sunday 12, and he was released from jail on Tuesday.
While police were talking to her, they said a call came into her cell phone from Suttles. An officer called him back and he denied calling her and said he does not know her.
The woman took out new warrants against Suttles.
A woman on Pineville Road said she told Cortney Keasler to leave her residence. She said he then attacked her, ripping her shirt, throwing her on the floor and kneeing her in the face several times.
Police said the woman had a bloody nose. An assault warrant was taken against Keasler.
A woman on N. Chamberlain Avenue said she and a male were at her house celebrating her birthday when he began calling her and others "bitches and hoes."
She said when he objected to that language, he became angry and went into the bathroom, where he put on a wig and girls clothes.
She said when he came back out he went into a bedroom and came out with a handgun. She said he pointed the gun at her as he cursed her. She said she was able to get the gun away from him, and she found it was a BB gun made to look like a real pistol.
The suspect was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault.
Jennie Reardon said she had just got out of her car at a business on Dallas Road. The vehicle was left running.
She looked back and saw someone driving the white 1992 Chevy Cavalier down the street.
June Puett of Bonny Oaks Drive said she arrived home and found her front door had been forced open.
Police checked the upstairs and found the master bedroom had been ransacked.
The only items known to be missing were several traveler's checks worth $500.
A woman who works at the Pioneer
Building downtown said she regularly parks at Citi Park on Chestnut Street. She said she got off work and found her car had been entered and her car stereo removed.
She said the vehicle was ransacked and there was damage to the dashboard. Police said a second vehicle nearby was also broken into.
A woman said her vehicle was broken into while parked on the parking lot of SunTrust Bank behind the Chattanooga Library.
The TVA employee said the driver side rear window was knocked out and her DVD player and basket holder were taken.
A woman said her cell phone was stolen while she was working out at Curves on Hamilton Place Boulevard.
She said she left the phone on a table and was gone about an hour to another part of the center.
A man who parked near the Brainerd Wal-Mart and went for a 45-minute walk on the Brainerd Levee said he returned to find his car had been broken into.
He said the passenger door window was broken out and the vehicle was ransacked. He was missing some items.
A resident of the Hickory Valley Apartments said he heard glass breaking while he was in his residence having dinner.
He ran to the window and saw a white 1995 Ford Thunderbird speeding away. He found that a window at his residence was broken out.
A woman said her 1998 Mitsubishi Montero was broken into while she was inside O'Charley's Restaurant on Hixson Pike.
The front driver door window was broken out. Two school book bags that belonged to her children were taken. Both were full of books, pencils and notebooks.
A resident of N. Hawthorne Street said his lawn mower was stolen off his front porch.
The thief also got two gas cans.
Police were called to a residence on S. Crest Road on Missionary Ridge on an alarm being activated.
Police could see a bird flying inside the house, coming to a window several times while the officer was there.
Brian Keith, the manager of Taco Mac at 423 Market St., said Christopher Hardyman skipped out on a $43.83 bill.
He said he went out and confronted the man and he came back inside, then took off running through a side door. The manager recaptured him.
Police said Hardyman appeared highly intoxicated. His bill was for five beers and two liquor-type drinks.
