Susan Goss Thorpe, 53, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, March 17, 2006, at Parkridge Hospital.

Sue was born in Knoxville on Nov. 26, 1952, and was a 1970 graduate of Austin-East High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Nena Goss, and brother, Ralph Goss, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacie Goss Williams, of Chattanooga; sister, Josephine Goss Sims, of Southfield, MI; brothers, John (M.J.), of Detroit, Thomas (Carol), of Detroit, Lewis (Sherrye), of Chattanooga, and Gregory (Cindy), of Ann Arbor, MI; sister-in-law, Laura Goss, of Knoxville; son-in-law, Marcus Williams, of Cleveland, MS; aunts, Eddie Mae Dicks, of Aldan, PA, and Alliey Dawkins, of Smithfield, S.C.; granddaughters, Synquis, K’yana, and Marceyvius Williams, of Chattanooga; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2714 Brooks Road, Knoxville, with the Rev. Walden officiating.

Visitation is from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Jarnigan & Sons Funeral Home, Knoxville.

Fredrick Jackson, 50, died on October 18, 2016 in a local hospital.  He was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 1984.  He was formerly employed at Wrigley’s for 12 years and was working at Downer Mobile Cleaning Service.  He was of Baptist faith. Man Being Pursued By Catoosa County Deputies Is Killed After Crash At Ringgold Road Overpass

A man who was being pursued by Catoosa County deputies was killed late Monday night when he crashed his vehicle at the Ringgold Road overpass. Gang Member, 22, Shot In The Arm On Wilcox Boulevard Early Tuesday Morning

A 22-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 1800 block of Wilcox Boulevard early Tuesday morning. Just after midnight, Chattanooga Police responded to a report of shots fired.
