Access America Transport Enters Van Freight Market

Access America Transport has expanded its growing transportation business in Chattanooga. They have been in business since 2002 and have been to date operating as a flatbed trucking and logistics company. They have primarily handled brick, steel, lumber and other various building material.

Access America Transport has now entered into the van freight market. With the addition of Rob Bade and Jeremy Shavers they will specialize in full truckloads, both inbound and outbound. They also offer warehouse service in the Chattanooga market.



Rob Bade has been hired to head up the van division. Mr. Bade graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. He began his transportation career with C.H. Robinson in their Memphis branch and was quickly promoted to lead a business group and manage employees while the branch was a top five branch for the company. Through new accounts and growing existing business, he gained experience shipping a variety of commodities utilizing dry and refrigerated truckload, rail, and LTL modes. In 2004 he transferred to Chattanooga to help open a brand new branch for CHR.

To aide Mr. Bade, Access America Transport has hired Jeremy Shavers. Mr. Shavers was born and raised in the Tennessee Valley Tri-State area. He graduated from Red Bank High School, and attended UTC in Business Management. He has a background in Law Enforcement with Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office as well as professional experience of 10 years in the transportation industry with Covenant Transport Inc. His areas of expertise include: dry van, refrigerated, flat-bed, regional (short-haul), long-haul, team, expedited, along with air freight and dedicated services.

Southern Tool Steel Promotes Natasha Lusk

Chattanooga Honda Customer Charges Millions Of Hondas Contain Defect Rendering Side Windows Inoperable

Jeremy Bordelon of Chattanooga has filed a class action lawsuit against American Honda Motor Company, Inc.  for manufacturing and selling vehicles with allegedly defective window mechanisms.  The complaint charges that the Honda window defect poses a safety hazard to drivers and passengers nationwide, Mark P. Signs Vandalized At Cummings Cove As Battle With OHV Owners Continues

Two large advertising signs at the Cummings Cove development in Lookout Valley were vandalized Friday. One sign was spray painted with an expletive and another had the word "Aetna" in large letters.  There has been a long-running dispute between owners of Cummings Cove and those who enjoy going up the old Aetna Mountain Road to ride off-highway vehicles. Grohn, Floyd, Marceaux Pick Up For House Contests

Larry Grohn, Richard Floyd and Basil Marceaux are the latest to pick up for state House races. Mr. Grohn picked up papers for House District 30, a seat now held by Vince Dean of East Ridge. Rep.
