Joint Middle Valley Church Service Is April 30

The congregations of Cross of Calvary Assembly of God, Middle Valley Church of God, and Middle Valley United Methodist Church will conduct a joint worship service on Sunday, April 30.

The community worship service will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of Cross of Calvary Assembly of God, which is located at 1853 Thrasher Pike in Hixson.

This is the second in a series of community worship services in which these three churches meet to worship God. The service will include a community choir, special singing by Barry Steelman and a message by Pastor Greg Dempsey of Middle Valley United Methodist.

A special offering will be received during the service for Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department. The churches have chosen to support this vital volunteer service in the Middle Valley community, Rev. Mitch McClure said.

Brainerd Baptist Hosts Parents' Night Out Feb. 17

Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
