Boston, Marion Anderson Holland

Marion Anderson Holland Boston died on Friday, June 30, 2006.

She was born Jan. 5, 1942, to the late Richard and Dora Holland. She was formerly employed by the Hamilton County school system and retired after 17 years of service.

She met and married William A. Boston Sr., to whom she was united for 47 years. Sister Boston was a faithful and longtime member of Mount Canaan Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board and the missionary society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt and guardian, Susie White; one sister, Doris Morgan; two brothers, Randolph Gaines and Michael Talley; and one granddaughter, Jaslyn Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, William A. Boston Sr.; stepmother, Melvin Holland; two sons, William (Delores) A. Boston Jr., of Chattanooga; and Rodney K. (Venus) Boston, of Nashville; four daughters, Angela D. Boston, Sandra D. Montgomery, and Delaine R. Boston, all of Chattanooga, and Jacqueline D. (Derrick) Taylor, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four siblings, Ernestine (Jerry) Crutcher, Richard Jones, Iunike and Catherine Holland; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Hardwick and Lula Boston, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at Mount Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Ternae Jordan officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.

Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence
