Christine C. Bowlin, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, July 5, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.L. and Inez Nations Coker; one brother, Edward Coker; two sisters, Genevie Coker; and Ione Coker.
She was a faithful member of the Church God of the Union Assembly for 70 years. She served as secretary and treasurer for 25 years and was the Homecoming Queen at the age of 85. She worked at Picketts Lady’s Fashions for over 55 years.
She is survived by her precious sister, Evelyn C. Howard; brother-in-law, W.T. Howard, Acworth, GA; three nieces and one nephew; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends, Michelle Smith, Ray Smith and family, and Mark Sheram, Denver, CO.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of God of the Union Assembly on Spring Creek Road, East Ridge. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery, Dalton, GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of God of the Union Assembly Building Fund, 1014 Spring Creek Road, East Ridge, TN 37412.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
