Area singer/songwriter Earl Brackin will be performing Oct. 5 at the Mangrove Coffee Cabin on W. Walnut Avenue in Dalton.
Mr. Brackin will be performing a variety of acoustic music, many of which are original compositions. His music is not easily categorized, as he often incorporates elements from different styles of music. His use of various musical ingredients results in a blend that keeps the listener's attention.
Mr. Brackin has performed over the years with many groups including bluegrass group Saugahatchie and Mainline a gospel quartet, both based in Alabama. He has also had experience composing and arranging, and at one time he produced commercial radio jingles.
In addition to his solo performances, he also performs with the North Georgia based group - Spatial Effects, a bluegrass group known for its off the wall originals.
Mr. Brackin serves as worship director at Evangelical Methodist Church in Dalton.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Seating is limited.
