RedPoint Management Begins 5th Year

Thursday, January 04, 2007

RedPoint Management, a Chattanooga- based organizational development consultancy, celebrated its fourth year in business at the close of 2006.

Company Owner and President Mike Pollock began RedPoint while concurrently overseeing the sale of The Adventure Guild, an experiential education company that he co-owned for 10 years.

RedPoint incorporated in late 2004 and has since been serving the employee development needs of a host of local businesses.

Mr. Pollock said, “Chattanooga has a number of young, powerful business concepts that are beginning to emerge. As those businesses begin to find traction, the founders find themselves more frequently managing employees – something they may have never done before. Our services focus on a top-down strategy to find, manage, and motivate employees who are committed to carrying out the company objectives as if they owned the company.”

Mr. Pollock received a Masters of Science in the Applied Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis on Organizational Development (OD), a field that practices strategic corporate psychology. He gained 14 years of experience providing team development programs to clients of The Adventure Guild and an Atlanta based OD firm, Executive Expeditions.

RedPoint reports service to a variety of Chattanooga businesses in the Publishing, Financial Services and Construction fields with a short list of highly entrepreneurial firms yet to gain public attention.

Mr. Pollock notes his own work philosophy is consistent with the message he takes to his clients. “We all have to work to financially support ourselves, but that is not what truly sustains our desire to work. Studies for the past 20 years have consistently shown that the paycheck is much farther down the list of what motivates us to work. Feeling valued, self expression through our skills and ideas, being part of a team environment, and contributing to business success top the lists.”

Mr. Pollock said bottom line success for the business is the ultimate goal and that his role is "to help business owners and managers achieve success by creating a happy, motivated work force."

Since 2002, RedPoint has worked with over 200 individual clients and approximately 10 local companies.

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt. Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: What 17 Pills Did To Me

Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance. Never in my life have I ever had any back problems but, in early December, I came down with what is called sciatica and I have been a miserable man ever since. There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
