Husch & Eppenberger Adds New 3 Associate Attorneys

Husch & Eppenberger has added Michelle C. Glass, Betsey Kirk Hatchett, and Jay R. McCurdy to its Chattanooga offices.

Ms. Glass is an Associate Attorney in the Business Litigation Practice Group. She earned her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, magna cum laude, where she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Law Women, and the Student Bar Association. In 2002, Ms. Glass graduated from Southern Adventist University with a B.S. in Music Performance.

Ms. Hatchett is as an Associate in the firm's Business Transactions Department. She concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, commercial finance, business organizations and transactions. Prior to joining Husch, Ms. Hatchett practiced with another Chattanooga law firm.

She earned her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2006 and graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2003 with a B.S.B.A. in Finance.

Mr. McCurdy is as an Associate in the firm's Business Transactions Department. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate development and finance. Mr. McCurdy graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2001. He earned an M.A. in Literary Studies from UTC in 1994 and an A.B. in English from Wabash College in 1989. Prior to joining Husch, Mr. McCurdy was a development consultant/attorney in Chattanooga. Prior to entering private practice, he was a law clerk for the Hon. Thomas W. Brothers of the Sixth Circuit Court of Davidson County in Nashville.

Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
