Phil Dumatrait was rated Cincinnati's No. 16 prospect in 2007 by Baseball America. He started 24 games for the 2005 Lookouts, going 4-12 and went 3-4 in 2006 before being promoted to Louisville.
Friday the Pittsburgh Pirates claimed left-handed pitcher Dumatrait off waivers from Cincinnati.
After spending the first four months of 2007 pitching for Triple-A Louisville, Dumatrait joined the Reds on Aug. 2, marking the first time the 26-year-old lefty dented a Major League roster.
