Another bicyclist has been injured after running into a car. A 16-year-old boy has been taken to Erlanger Medical Center with serious injuries after losing control of his bicycle and running into the path of an on-coming car.
The youth was riding downhill on Gillespie Road when he failed to stop at the intersection of Gillespie and Shallowford roads.
A vehicle traveling west on Shallowford Road hit the child as he entered the intersection.
This is the second incident involving bicyclist in two days. Saturday's victim from McCrae and North Chamberlain is still listed in serious condition.
