Take A Look At Fred Thompson - And Response

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

By now I'm sure the majority of you are aware of who most of the 2008 presidential candidates are. I'm also sure that by now you may be just a little bit sick and tired of the rhetoric that some of these folks are spewing forth. Not a day goes by that we aren't bombarded with the media's biased reports of certain candidates, whether good or bad.

If you are one of the people who are undecided but want to really learn about a particular candidate, I would invite you to take a look at former Sen. Fred Thompson. When Fred Thompson was a U.S. Senator in Tennessee, all along the campaign trail he was genuine, open, and forthright. As a candidate for the President of the United States Fred Thompson is again genuine, open and forthright.

Fred Thompson sets himself apart from every other candidate from both sides by being extremely truthful and upfront about the dangers we face not only here in America, but abroad as well. He understands we must step up the security of our nation if we are to continue to be the sovereign state we are. Fred Thompson has not been frothing at the mouth from childhood about becoming the leader of the free world as many of the candidates have.

If you are not registered to vote, please register. If you are unsure as to which candidate you believe would help make our country safe, please visit Fred Thompson's website. Watch the videos, read the text and then you decide if he is the person you want to lead our country in these tumultuous times around the world. Fred speaks candidly about issues such as national security, education, tax reform, healthcare, the second amendment and others on his website.

Do not let the media decide for you. Fred didn't get in this race too late...the others all got in way too early and for that reason, the media is skewed as to his present standings. Just look at what happened recently with FOX reporter Chris Wallace (see Fred's website for details).

If you think it doesn't matter who leads, think again. If you are not sure what you as a citizen can do to help Fred Thompson spread his word, go to the website and there you will see many, many things you can do to help out. One thing I would encourage you to do is that if you know Fred Thompson personally, if you have been helped through his former U.S. Senate office or even if you just want to let others know what a great man he is, do a google search on Iowa newspapers to start with. Send them a letter to their editor expressing how you feel and encourage others to visit his website. Sure, that may take just a little time to do that, but when Fred Thompson becomes our nominee, wouldn't it have been worth it?

Now, take the time to become informed about the presidential candidacy of Fred Thompson.

Your column titled "Take A Look At Fred Thompson" in yesterday's Chattanoogan.com was excellent. It was well written, concise, yet with enough detail to persuade. As a longtime supporter of Sen. Thompson, I simply want to say thanks.
