An East Ridge home was heavily damaged by fire on Tuesday night.
At 6:34 p.m. East Ridge Fire Rescue, East Ridge Police, Memorial EMS, and Fort Oglethorpe Engine 10 responded to 5000 Covington Dr.
Fire crews arrived on the scene within two minutes to find the home fully involved with flames.
The first engine company on the scene established all occupants had exited the house safely. After that determination had been made, firefighters began an interior attack to fight the fire. The fire was contained to one half of the residence.
East Ridge arson investigators have initiated an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.
The damage has been estimated at $75,000.
