Hullander Says Enterprise South Is Not A Brownfield

County Commissioner Bill Hullander said Thursday that Enterprise South Industrial Park is not a brownfield.

"It never has been a brownfield," he said.

Commissioiner Hullander said, "There are hundreds and hundreds of acres out there, and the only questions they had was on an area about the size of your living room."

He said, "I look forward to the day when stickers will read: Made in Hamilton County."

He also said, "I am glad that our teachers are in the classroom and not out on strike."

He apparently referred to a teacher strike at Marion, Ark.

Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence

Sentencing for former Hamilton County paramedic Michael Lamar Johnston, who pleaded guilty in November to fondling a woman as his ambulance took her to a hospital, has been delayed until April 2.   He was scheduled to learn today whether he would be placed on probation or given diversion but, at the request of both prosecution and defense attorneys, the hearing was passed. ...
