City Mayor Ron Littlefield, County Mayor Claude Ramsey and UTC Chancellor Roger Brown are among community leaders who will serve as presenters at the March 2007 Chattanooga Insight.
The program will take place March 22 and 23 in the Board Room of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce at 811 Broad Street. The program is sponsored by the Chattanooga Chamber Foundation.
Patterned after the Chamber’s Leadership Chattanooga program, Chattanooga Insight offers a focused look at the city’s renaissance, the leaders and resources necessary to perpetuate the renewal and the opportunities for involvement in advancing the city to the next level, according to Diane Parks, director of leadership and community development for the Chamber.
“Chattanooga Insight is a great way to get a fact-based overview of the city,” said Insight Chair Ann Weeks. “It is best-suited to business leaders, particularly those who are new to Chattanooga or their positions.”
Other speakers are Jack Murrah, president of the Lyndhurst Foundation; Trevor Hamilton, vice president of economic development for the Chamber; and Karen Hundt, director of the Planning and Design Studio for the Regional Planning agency. Jeff Pfitzer of the RiverCity Company will provide a bus tour of the city.
Chattanooga Insight will take place from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on March 22 and from 8 a.m. to noon on March 23. A continental breakfast will be served both days. Participants will have lunch at Miller Plaza on March 22. Registration is due March 19.
