Bullock Brothers Honored At Hixson High On Friday

Tuesday, April 17, 2007

April 20th is Bullocks Day at Hixson High School and around the state.

The Tennessee State House of Representatives voted April 20 as statewide "Bullocks Day," honoring two Hixson High School graduates, Josh and Daniel Bullocks.

Hixson High is also honoring its famous alumnae with a celebration on Friday.

The Bullocks brothers graduated from Hixson High in 2000 and went on to play football at the University of Nebraska. The brothers currently play in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints.

Josh and Daniel Bullocks are returning to their alma mater on Friday to participate in the school’s Bullocks Day celebration where they will officially retire their Wildcats jerseys, receive an official copy of their Tennessee State House resolution and address the Hixson HS student body.

The brothers will also award one lucky Hixson High School senior with a $5,000 scholarship and make a donation to the Hixson High athletic department.

The assembly starts at 10 a.m.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (2)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ... Roy Exum: What 17 Pills Did To Me

Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance. Never in my life have I ever had any back problems but, in early December, I came down with what is called sciatica and I have been a miserable man ever since. There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
