Gov. Phil Bredesen will be in Chattanooga to speak about proposed changes to the Basic Education Plan (BEP) formula for state funding to local schools.
Gov. Bredesen and the state legislature are in the process of hammering out details for a proposal that could bring as much as $11 million in additional funding to Hamilton County Schools this year, officials said.
He will join County Mayor Claude Ramsey at the event on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza (corner of Market Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.).
