Jason Hall Starring In NFL Europa Football

NFL Europa recently kicked off its 15th season and a Chattanooga product has been playing very well for his team.

Defensive end Jason Hall (Carolina Panthers) leads the league in sacks with six for the Cologne Centurions.

All six of his sacks (for 41 yards) have come in the last four games, and those are in addition to his 18 tackles.

Hall attended the McCallie School in Chattanooga, winning the state title as a senior before going on to play for the Tennessee Volunteers.

He started all 11 games as a senior at Tennessee setting career highs with 51 tackles and seven sacks (second on the team).


Balogun, Hamilton Heights Race Past ABI, 88-73

Hamilton Heights defeated American Basketball Institute (ABI), a post-grad program from Atlanta coached by former University of Georgia and NBA star Litterial Green, by 88-73 on Tuesday night. CCS Hoopsters Split With Lookout Valley

Kiser Takes Witness Stand For First Time; Says He Did Not Kill Deputy Donald Bond

Marlon Duane Kiser took the witness stand at his post-conviction hearing on Tuesday to declare that he did not kill Deputy Donald Bond, who was gunned down at a produce stand in East Brainerd 13 years ago. Courtney Godwin, 25, Was Victim In Monday Night Fire In Hixson

Chattanooga firefighters battled a fully-involved structure fire in Hixson Monday night, and the incident involved at least one fatality.  Dr. Steve Cogswell with the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Courtney D.
